Valmieras muzejs un Latvijas Universitātes Humanitāro zinātņu fakultātes Latvijas vēstures institūts (LU HZF LVI) aicina pieteikties starptautiskajai konferencei “Jauno vēsturnieku zinātniskie lasījumi XI” (JVZL), kas notiks 2025. gada 5.–6. decembrī klātienē Valmieras muzejā. Šogad papildu tradicionālajai programmai plānotas arī tīklošanās un profesionālās pilnveides aktivitātes.
Konferences organizētāji aicina pieteikt ar vēstures pētniecību saistītas tēmas. Gaidīti arī starpdisciplināri pētījumi (mākslas vēsture, politikas un jurisprudences studijas, reliģijpētniecība un teoloģija, muzikoloģija u. c.). Referāti hronoloģiski var ietvert jautājumus no aizvēstures līdz pat mūsdienām.
Prasības dalībniekiem:
1) iegūts bakalaura grāds;
2) dalībnieka anketā skaidri un kvalitatīvi formulēts izpētes objekts un referāta
vēsturiskā ievirze;
3) referātam ir jābūt tā autora oriģinālam, zinātniskam pētījumam, kas nav prezentēts
citā konferencē.

Paziņojumu par referāta iekļaušanu JVZL dalībnieki saņems līdz 2025. gada 31. oktobrim. Dalībniekiem, kas vēlēsies publicēt savu rakstu krājumā, tas būs jāiesniedz 2026. gada sākumā.
Konference Valmieras muzejā notiks jau vienpadsmito reizi. JVZL ir platforma jaunajiem vēsturniekiem, kas vēl veido savu akadēmisko karjeru. Pētnieki, kas nesen ieguvuši akadēmisko grādu, JVZL ietvaros var savu pētījumu rezultātus prezentēt sabiedrībai, uzstājoties konferencē un vēlāk tos publicējot konferences krājumā.
Konferenci organizē Valmieras muzejs un LU HZF LVI sadarbībā ar starptautiskajiem partneriem – Vitauta Dižā universitāti Kauņā, Lietuvas Vēstures institūtu un Tartu Universitātes Vēstures un arheoloģijas institūtu.

Valmiera Museum and the Institute of Latvian History, Faculty of Humanities of the University of Latvia (UL FH ILH) invite you to apply for the international conference “Scholarly Readings of Young Historians XI” (SR YH XI), to be held in person on December 5–6, 2025 at Valmiera Museum. This year’s conference expands beyond its traditional programme to include networking opportunities and professional development activities.
The conference organizing team warmly invites applications related to historical research. Interdisciplinary research papers – including art history, political and law studies, religious studies and theology, musicology and related fields – are also welcome. The presentations may explore topics ranging from prehistory to the present day.
Requirements for the participants:
1) at least a bachelor’s degree;
2) the participant’s application must clearly and precisely formulate the research object and the historical orientation of the paper;
3) the paper must reflect the author’s original scholarly research, which has not been previously presented at any other conference.
Registration for the conference is open until October 1, 2025: https://ej.uz/Pieteikuma_anketa_JVZL_XI. Participation in the conference is free of charge. Upon individual arrangement, the organisers will consider providing accommodation.
Notification of acceptance will be sent out until October 31, 2025. Participants, interested in having their paper published in SR YH XI collection of articles, will be required to submit it at the beginning of 2026.
The conference is organized by Valmiera Museum and UL FH ILH, in collaboration with the international partners – Vytautas Magnus University in Kaunas, Lithuanian Institute of History and the University of Tartu’s Institute of History and Archaeology.
